With the breakneck speed at which we live our lives today who has time to do the dishes? Most people would consider a dishwasher as one of the most useful appliances in the modern kitchen. There are various different options available to suit most budgets space constraints and design avenues:
We plan to live in our home for at least five more years and this fact does weigh on our dishwasher choice. We want to make sure we have an energy efficient dishwasher but want to be able to recoup our money. Another mistake homeowners make is buying the most expensive energy saving product. Sometimes this is not an efficient use of money. If you buy a $1200 dishwasher you may only be saving $20-$50 a year on water and energy usage. You would have to stay in your home at least 10 years to realize the savings over the $700 model. Something else to consider when buying a dishwasher.
The same holds true when it comes to accepting additional diagnoses for a troubled machine. In the midst of bracing yourself for a giant bill and trying to get dinner ready while staying out of the dishwasher repair pro's way you do not want to hear that there are more dishwasher repairs on the horizon. However isn't it better to know what all the problems are so that you can fix them instead of having something crop up as a surprise later on? Catching problems early also often means that they aren't as serious (or expensive to fix) as they could be in the future. You may not want to hear any more bad news but this is one case in which knowing is better than being in the dark.
