When my husband and I needed to buy a new dishwasher we wanted to buy one that is well regarded by Consumer Reports. We wanted to make sure it had a good warranty and not too many fancy bells and whistles we'll never use. We've read that a lot of homeowners make the mistake of going hog wild choosing appliances with lots of features they'll actually never use. These upgrades can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars and end up being a total waste of money.
There are many benefits to having a dishwasher. The first of those benefits is the amount of time you save by not having to do the dishes yourself. On average a family will go through 3 sets of dishes every day one for each meal. Maybe you just dislike doing dishes by hand or perhaps you are just spending all of your time in the kitchen with your hands in soapy water. Whatever the case may be it would be nice to simply put the dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on. Most of the time it will take you less than five minutes to get the dishwasher turned on and then you can go do something else.
Once the preserve of the wealthy family dishwashers are now somewhat commonplace in modern kitchens. As prices have come down however consumer choice has risen significantly. There are now a huge number of affordable dishwashers on the market so how best to choose the right model? They all essentially do the same task so there's not really that much difference from one machine to the next right? Wrong. There are a range of factors a clued up shopper will want to take into account before committing to one particular dishwasher.
